Client works one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
Family therapy is designed to address specific behavioral issues that affect the psychological health of family structure. Counseling aims to promote understanding and collaboration among family members in order to solve the problems of one or more individuals in the household.
In this group, members will review a different skill each week, check-in with group about skills they have used during the past week, and check-in regarding challenges they have had, or may be having in the upcoming week. Members will recieve support from each other regarding DBT skills, and using the skills ongoing.
dbt aFTER-school gROUP
This group is designed to help parents increase their own DBT skills to manage their child's behavior and learn the skills that the teen is learning in order to support them practice. The group complements their own learning with DBT parenting strategies to increase parental effectiveness and decrease the sense of "burnout" from parenting a teenager with high emotional sensitivity.
Clinician, who is RYT-200 certified, guides clients through a mindfulness yoga practice. Therapeutic yoga helps regulate moods and emotions, improves concentration, attention; quiets mental chatter and alleviates stress, anxiety, body tension.
